Nature Discovery Center Grand Opening

After a lot of planning, construction and general hard work, we introduced wildlife enthusiasts from all over Siem Reap to our Nature Discovery Centre for the first time over the weekend of January 19th and 20th. We provided guided tours and set up games and activities for the visitors and were also lucky enough to have a variety of speakers, including some of our own staff members, deliver speeches on topics such as Buddhism and conservation and youth environmental awareness in Cambodia.

The grand opening event was attended by around 400 people and since then we have been providing tours  and delivering education sessions for school groups and individuals alike.

Samban and Sreyden, our  Fauna in Focus Wildlife Instructors, have been delivering our wildlife education programme, which was developed with the help of our wonderful volunteers. We are now working on finalising the Nature Discovery Centre installations, including creating an aquatic ecosystems exhibit, complete with water tanks and an Irrawaddy dolphin diving through the ceiling! If you’d like to read more about how you can support our work, you can do so here.

We’re open Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm. For more information or to arrange a visit for a group, feel free to get in touch with us. We hope you’ll drop in and visit us soon!
