American Corner Wildlife Club

Our Jungle Lab Classroom has been getting plenty of use recently, as we've been delivering education sessions to a group of students from the American Corner Wildlife Club in Siem Reap. We have developed a unique programme of lessons, which give students an insight into the diverse wildlife of Cambodia, the threats they face and how we can all help to protect the environment in this beautiful country. The lessons are designed to be as interactive and engaging as possible, and feature a wide variety of conservation themed games. One them even includes our very own Fauna in Focus board game!

The students from the American Corner Wildlife Club have been enjoying these lessons on a regular basis and are continuing to benefit from this wildlife education. We are very proud of the education programme we have created and believe it has the power to really get people excited about conserving and protecting wildlife in Cambodia. The series of lessons will culminate in a field trip, during which the students will be able to explore one of Cambodia’s many amazing natural habitats. This will help them to get some first hand experience of conservation and wildlife protection, and to put into practice some of what they’ve learned during their classes with us.

In the future, we are hoping to expand and improve upon our wildlife education programmes. We believe that education programmes like ours are a vital part of promoting and encouraging environmental conservation in Cambodia, to protect the amazingly diverse range of flora and fauna that can be found here. If you’d like to help us do this, you can contribute to our crowdfunding campaign, which is still live. We are now just $2,952 away from our $10,000 goal. You can also visit the Volunteering and Internships page of our website, if you’d like to contribute your skills and time to our project.
